Dixie Fish Company supports Cypress Lake High School as golf tournament sponsor

FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. (Sept. 17, 2025) – Dixie Fish Company, a beloved seafood restaurant on
Fort Myers Beach, is serving as registration sponsor for the Cypress Legends Golf Tournament, the
signature fundraiser for Cypress Lake High School’s Booster Club. Dixie Fish Company contributed
$1,000 to the Oct. 25 event, which supports all 18 sports at Cypress Lake High School.

“We’re happy to donate to a worthwhile cause that benefits all of the student athletes at Cypress
Lake High School,” said Blake Colbert, Dixie Fish Company’s general manager. “The golf tournament
also honors the school’s former coaches.”

The annual Legends tournament, held at The Dunes Golf & Tennis Club on Sanibel, was formerly
known as the Tim Jago Memorial Golf Tournament. Renamed this year as the Cypress Legends Golf
Tournament, the event honors the legacy of coaching excellence at Cypress Lake High School and pays
tribute to Coach Maureen Cannon, who passed away in 2024, for her lasting impact on students and
colleagues.

The booster club, a nonprofit parent-led organization, provides both financial capital and
volunteers for all sports programs at Cypress Lake High School. The 2024 tournament raised more than
$11,000; this year’s goal is $25,000 to fund facility improvements, equipment purchases and future
student scholarships.

Offering open-air waterfront dining overlooking scenic Matanzas Pass and live music most
nights, Dixie Fish Company is a 2023 Yelp Top 100 Florida Restaurant and TripAdvisor’s No. 2 ranked of
