The Dixie Fish Co. goes back to 1937, the year it was originally built. Primarily a fish market and offloading site for the shrimp industry in those days, it has come a long way, while keeping much of its original character. Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille is our other award winning concept with 4 locations; Sanibel Island, Ft. Myers Beach, St. Pete Pier, & Jungle Terrace St. Pete. We’ve been awarded Tripadvisor’s #1 everyday eats restaurant in the country twice and have become a staple in each market we operate in. The name “Doc Ford’s” comes from a character in a series of fictional books based in SW Florida. Doc “Marion” Ford is a former CIA agent turned marine biologist who continues to find himself in sticky situations from his past.
